DAY 26 on the Camino de Santiago. Today was a good day except for the cold I have developed. Otherwise I felt very peaceful and happy. I left my pack to be transported for the second time. It was so easy this time! No guilt or second thoughts. I will carry it tomorrow because of the significance of the day - I will reach Cruz de Ferro - the cross at the top of the mountain where all Pilgrims leave a rock they have brought from home that represents their burdens. Today was a good part of the climb toward the peak - I was very tired when I arrived. And it’s quite chilly outside. Im going to bed early to try to get ahead of my cold. And a wonderful, Happy Birthday to my husband, Damon Carpenter. Love you all. Buen Camino!
